Meet the Heroes
Code Name: President
Kelly Moore, CEBS, has more than 20 years of experience managing employee benefit plans for a broad array of organizations. Moore founded Moore Benefits, Inc. in 2001 with the mission of providing clients with personalized service and plans that directly align with the needs of their business. As president, she brings her unique brand of vision, entrepreneurial spirit and business acumen to provide a full-service approach to employee benefits that maximizes productivity and return on investment for small to mid-sized business owners.
Moore previously served as an Assistant Vice President with Marsh, the world’s largest and fully-integrated employee benefits firms, where she managed plans for Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized organizations and small businesses.
Moore earned her Bachelor of Science degree in business management and human resources from Maryville University in St. Louis, Mo., and has achieved the CEBS designation from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Moore is involved with a number of professional organizations including the International Society of Certified Employee Benefit Specialists, the National Human Resource Association and ProVisors.
Code Name: Senior Benefits Consultant
Cathy Solomon’s extensive background in the staffing, PEO, HR Consulting, executive compensation consulting, and benefits industries, and having been on both sides of the desk, aligns well with delivery of Moore Benefits Super Solutions. Cathy provides consulting for group benefits, plan administration, and regulatory compliance, all wrapped in high-tough customer service. Recognizing that not one-size-fits-all, Cathy seeks a deep understanding of the needs of our clients and tailors the best group benefit plans to ensure appropriate coverage, high-impact, value, and cost-effectiveness.
Cathy most recently oversaw the growth of the Orange County, San Diego, and Inland Empire markets for the high-level networking group, ProVisors, and will now use her business development and management experience for the benefit of small- and mid-sized businesses in Orange County and surrounding areas. In prior years, Cathy held business development, consulting, and service delivery roles for leading human capital and insurance services firms. She began her career in accounting, and as the Controller for a local independent staffing firm. Today, in addition to bringing quality benefit plan solutions to companies, Cathy has a passion for being a connector of other trusted advisors and resources to bring value to clients and colleagues.
Cathy earned her Bachelor of Science in Business and Management from the University of Redlands. Though her roots are in Michigan and Ontario, Canada, she has called Orange County home for 30+ years. Cathy is an avid hiker and yogi and travels to remote tropical SCUBA diving destinations each year. Her travels have taken her to many third-world countries, and her experiences have put into perspective how fortunate we are in the U.S. to have access to so much more than just basic necessities, including fundamental health care.
Code Name: Account Manager
Carrie Gaither started her career journey by joining the Army in 2001. She quickly obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant while working as a Special Electronic Devices Repairer. She served her country for 6 years and although she loved her time in the service, she had 4 little ones at home that needed her love and support. In 2007, she started her path into Employee Benefits by working at AFLAC as a State Administrator, a year later she moved over to the sales and discovered service was her true passion. In 2009, Carrie worked at PayPro Administrators as an account manager and provided COBRA and Flexible Spending Account service and administrative support. Carrie joined the Moore Benefits, Inc. team in 2012 as a Customer Service Representative where she continues to grow and expand her knowledge of Employee Benefits. Carrie has an associate’s degree from the University of Phoenix and is working toward completing her bachelor’s degree in business management with a concentration in human resources.
Code Name: Junior Account Manager
Brooke Thompson brings to Moore Benefits the right mix of heart and mind, with her background in human resources and payroll administration. She graduated from California State University, Dominguez Hills with a major in Benefits Administration and a concentration in Human Resources. She was also a member of their women’s soccer team, going to the NCAA Championship in 2009. In 2012, Brooke started her career at a local payroll company as an Account Director, providing payroll, human resources, and benefits administration for a diverse group of companies. Coming to Moore Benefits in 2015 as a Customer Service Representative, she provides support to clients, serving as an advocate with their employee benefits, billing, and claim needs. She is also an avid horse-woman, competing on a national level.
Code Name: Customer Service Representative
With a varied background in myriad customer service positions and a love for helping people, Aundrea Roe brings a well-trained servant’s heart to her position as Customer Service Representative, joining Moore Benefits in 2016.
Aundrea entered the benefits industry in 2013 as an assistant for a local, independent insurance broker. She managed existing client relationships, processing applications and solving problems as they arose, and also worked to streamline protocols. In 2015, the broker combined forces with another agency to start a new division; she trained their new processors and helped streamline their protocols, as well.
Aundrea earned her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (emphasis – Athletic Training) from Chapman University in 2002. A knee injury sidelined her personal training career in 2005, so she sought a position that would allow her to continue helping people. She has been an administrative assistant and a customer service specialist, including working for a large financial services/insurance carrier.
When not working hard to ensure customer satisfaction, Aundrea enjoys baking, singing, exercise, crafts, and spending time with loved ones.
Code Name: Office Administrator
Sarah Kendall-Jones considers herself a California girl, despite the fact that she was born and raised in the UK. She is a big fan of the outdoors and can usually be found hiking, running or biking the beautiful trails and coastline of Orange County. A busy mum of two teenagers, she has recently returned to work having spent the past 13 years as a stay-at-home mum, and is now thoroughly enjoying being back in the workplace at Moore Benefits Inc.
